China Temples

 1.White House Temple:


The first Buddhist temple in China is White Horse Temple. White Horse Temple is build on 68 ad under ming emperor  in the Eastern Han dynasty capital Luoyang . The site is just outside the walls of the ancient Eastern Han capital distance some some 12–13 kilometres of Luoyang in Henan Province. It is approximately 40 minutes by bus No. 56 from Luoyang railway station.

 The geographical landmarks to the south are Manghan mountain and Lucoche River. The display plaques in Chinese and English give ample descriptions of the Buddhist deities installed in the halls.

2.Lingyin Temple:


Lingyin Temple  one of the largest and wealthiest Buddhist temples in China. Located north-west of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China  Lingyin Temple is a Buddhist temple of the Chan.Temple of the Soul's Retreat is literally translated. The monastery is the largest of several temples in the Wulin Mountains . During the Eastern Jin dynasty the monastery was found in 328 AD by an Indian sant.

The Temple boasted nine multi-story buildings, 18 pavilions, 72 halls, more than 1300 dormitory rooms, inhabited by more than 3000 sants.

3.Yonghe Temple:

The Yonghe Temple also known as the Yonghe Lamasery. Yonghe Temple has  popularly as the Lama Temple. Located in Dongcheng District, Beijing, China is a temple and monastery of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. Han Chinese and Tibetan styles The building and artwork of the temple is a combination.

 During the Qing dynasty Building work on the Yonghe Temple started in 1694. For court eunuchs it originally served as an official residence.
