India Temples


  • Meenakshi Temple:

Meenakshi  Temple is a historic  temple located on the southern bank of the Vaigai River in the temple city of Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.It is dedicated to Parvati. Parvati consort, Shiva here named Sundareswarar.lifeline of the 2,500-year-old city of Madurai and is a significant symbol for the Tamil people.the temple was originally built in the sixth century.

The Temple was rebuilt by the Nayak ruler Vishwanatha Nayakar around the sixtenth century.Vishwanatha Nayak who rebuilt the temple.The temple is the most prominent landmark and most visited tourist attraction in the city.
  • Somnath Temple:
Located in Prabhas Patan the Somnath temple  near Veraval in Saurashtra of Gujarat, India.It is an important  tourist spot.

          The Somnath temple is known as "the Shrine Eternal" This legendary temple has been destroyed.it wasrebuilt in November 1947.
