Indonesia Temples

  • Uluwatu Temple:
Uluwatu Temple is a Balinese sea temple  in Uluwatu . The temple is regarded as one of the sad kahyangan. It is dedicated to Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa in his manifestation as Rudra. Projecting into the sea The temple  is built at the edge of a 70 meter high cliff or rock . This rock is said to be part of Dewi Danu's petrified barque.

11th Century ,Though a small temple was claimed to have existed earlier the structure was significantly expanded by a Javanese sage,”Empu Kuturan”.


  • Borobudur Temple:

9th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia is a Borobudur. Its another name is Barabudur. The monument consists of 9 stacked platforms,6 square and 3 circular, topped by a central dome. 2,672 reliefpanels and 504 Buddha statues  decorated The temple.


 
The central dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues. Each seated inside a perforated stupa. It is the world's largest Buddhist temple. Built in the 9th century.


  • Pawan Temple:
Buddhist temple in Central Java, Indonesia  is called pawon. It also known locally as Candi Pawon. Between two other Buddhist temples, Borobudur (1.75 km (1.09 mi) to the northeast and Mendut (1.15 km (0.71 mi) to the southwest powan is Locate. Pawon is connected with the other two temples. The three temples were located on a straight line.

Suggesting there was a symbolic meaning that binds 3 temples.This is built eight th to nonegth centuries. The original name of this Buddhist shrine is uncertain.
